Probably you have heard of Lionel trains beforehand. This is one well-liked name with regards to making trains way back 20th century. These trains became well-liked around the globe which these Pre war and Post war trains were capable to achieve that much attention from the pubic since then especially in the U.S.. The war has cause the closure of this train company that  has been a crucial moment for the company itself.

On the other hand, what made this very well-liked since then is that the Lionel trains have those amazing colors which were known to be very admired for the ladies and the kids. So the pre-war trains were then portrayed for having those astounding colors which made them special in comparison with ordinary trains besides looking at those conventional trains which possess the dark and rusty colors.

On the other hand, post-war trains were then produced to not have similar unrealistic colors which are that of the pre-war ones. But to make sure that people will still have the same interest over these trains, they created trains with added features, so it will still appear to be special in comparison to regular model trains during that time. It was pretty a blast with regards to selling these Lionel trains during the post-war era. However, the company also did have several rivals close at hand and which have shown to have more sales in comparison to the company’s very own well-liked trains. The popularity of these trains caused the booming of other trains which have been released in the toy industry.

You should not forget having Lionel train sets added to your collection if you’re one of those train enthusiasts. These trains are carefully boxed together with all the pieces needed for setting it up. Various collectors learn this train set among the must haves. You’ll have a piece of history close at hand and muse over those times when trains were a very powerful mode of land transportation in the past apart from being competent to get those model type trains into your very home.

This is my HO scale layout based on the TP&W and KB&S in Illinois. It is project statrted by my cousin and I and is still in the making. Note the scrap yard, the metal shavings come from a machine shop that my friend owns. All track is code 83. This is a DC layout. The TP&W GP20’s are custom made from Proto 2000 units, The TP&W lightning stripe 20 was down for servicing at the time of this filming. Hope you enjoy the Illinois Prairie Lines.

My son and I shot this many years ago. The lower shots of the multiple operating tracks was shot by my young son. This to the best of my memory was in Wilmington NC. Music Is James Gang.
